Versions
QLC+ comes in two lines, both maintained by the manufacturer: the new line 5 (latest 5.3.0 of 5 October 2026) and line 4 (latest 4.14.4 of 15 March 2026). Each is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Until October 2026 the button on this page still pointed to QLC+ 4.12.2 from 2019.
The short answer
The manufacturer builds a separate file for each kind of Mac: “Apple Silicon” for Macs with an M chip, “Intel” for older Macs with an Intel processor. Which chip your Mac has is shown in the Apple menu at the top left under “About This Mac”. Both files require macOS 12 or later.
Download
Every button loads the file straight from the manufacturer’s server — no sign-up, no detour via the thank-you page. Size, date and file name were verified on 12 October 2026. Line 5 first, line 4 below.

Background
QLC+ is a free, open-source lighting control program for Windows, macOS and Linux; according to the manufacturer it also runs on the Raspberry Pi. It is developed by Massimo Callegari with a small core team and builds on QLC, the program by Heikki Junnila.
QLC+ handles any number of DMX universes. You operate it through the virtual console with mouse or touchscreen — or with an external desk via MIDI, DMX, Art-Net, E1.31 or OSC, then with real buttons and faders.
A computer, a DMX interface and a fixture definition for every fixture. QLC+ comes with a library of definitions from many makers; if a fixture is missing, you create it yourself in QLC+’s Fixture Editor.
USB2DMX PRO and USB2DMX OPTO use an FTDI chip and work like an Enttec Open DMX. QLC+ drives such interfaces through its “DMX USB” plugin in “Open TX” mode. According to the QLC+ documentation, the plugin needs FTDI’s D2XX drivers on Windows and the libftdi library on Linux; on macOS it needs no driver. The documentation explicitly advises against the VCP drivers (virtual COM port), as they can interfere with QLC+.
The AIR2DMX PRO receives Art-Net over Wi-Fi. Art-Net is built into QLC+ on Windows, macOS and Linux, with nothing extra to install.
This program comes from its respective manufacturer and is maintained and downloaded there. JMS Pro Light does not distribute it.
